The first pieces in this collection were these Angels: CYMBELINE, EVANGELINE, IRIS, LYDIA, ISABEL and OPHELIA. The FRANCESCA MUSICAL was also introduced this year. 
The year 1995 brought with it the very first limited edition Angel, the very much sought after ALYSSA. Since ALYSSA was a Limited Edition, she did close at the end of 1995 as well. The other Angels which joined the collection that year were FELICIA, LAURICE, PRISCILLA and SERAPHINA. Ornaments were also added to the line this year with CYMBELINE, EVANGELINE, IRIS, ISABEL, LYDIA and OPHELIA. Roman also introduced the FRANCESCA GLITTERDOME. The 4" Angels were added to the collection. There are 10 Angels in the 4" size - CYMBELINE, EVANGELINE, FELICIA, IRIS, ISABEL, LAURICE, LYDIA, OPHELIA, PRISCILLA and SERAPHINA.
For 1996 Roman had even more in store for the collectors. Most collectibles have some sort of a date, number, symbol, etc, for the collector to recognize the year of production for a piece. Roman decided to give their collectors a way of identifying the year of production for the Angels by placing a symbol on the understamp. The symbol for the 1996 year of production was the HARP. They also introduced the first Angel to benefit the Sunshine Foundation, DAWN, who was produced for only this year. They debuted the first Catalog exclusive Angel, CONSTANCE, also only produced for this year. Roman continued the Limited Edition series with VANESSA, whose edition did close at the end of 1996, as well as started two new series with the NATIVITY COLLECTION and the ANGELS TO WATCH OVER ME Series, for Girls Newborn to Age 5. Other Angels added to the line were CELINE, FAITH, FRANCESCA, GABRIEL, MARIAH, ROSALIE, SERENA. The IRIS MUSICAL joined the collection as did three SCULPTED PLATES that featured CYMBELINE, ISABEL and PRISCILLA. Ornaments added this year were FELICIA, LAURICE, PRISCILLA and SERAPHINA. This was also the year they made their first retirement announcement - SERAPHINA and OPHELIA.
For 1997 the symbol of production was the DOVE. This was the first year that two limited editions were added, ARIEL and CHLOE, with both of them being closed editions at the end of this year. Also, the first Earn Your Wings exclusive, SABRINA was introduced and available for only this year. ARIEL was also the '97 catalog exclusive. Other new Angels introduced were CHELSEA, GRACE, HANNAH, HARMONY, HEATHER, MELODY, RACHEL and TAMARA. The ANGELS TO WATCH OVER ME series added a boy's version Ages 1 - Age 6, as well as two additional girls, Age 6 and Age 7. The NATIVITY COLLECTION expanded too with the THREE KINGS (NATIVITY COLLECTION). Roman also continued the Sunshine Event Angel with MONICA, and she was only produced through 1998. The HEAVEN SENT COLLECTION, which features ornaments and musicals, was added to the line as well as the fourth SCULPTED PLATE, LYDIA. Ornaments added this year were CELINE, FRANCESCA, GABRIEL, MARIAH, ROSALIE and SERENA. The IRIS GLITTERDOME and MARIAH NIGHTLIGHT were new additions as well. Roman also made another retirement announcement - CYMBELINE, LAURICE and LYDIA.
The year 1998 has brought with it an exciting addition - the charter year for the SERAPHIM CLASSICS COLLECTOR'S CLUB!! TESS is the charter year membership piece and LILLIAN is the year's members only Angel. TESS and LILLIAN are only available through 1998. Roman continues with the Sunshine Event Angel with ALEXANDRA,released in September and only available through December of 1998. Two more limited editions are introduced, AVALON, whose edition will close at the end of 1998 and HOPE, with HOPE being the first two year limited edition Angel as well as being selected to aid in the fight against breast cancer. The NATIVITY COLLECTION has expanded and there is another catalog exclusive, ANNABELLA, who is only available through 1998. Roman introduces DIANA, the first Angel to be inspired by a person, Princess Diana. AMELIA is chosen as the '98 Earn Your Wings exclusive, only available through 1998. A HEART is the 1998 symbol of production. Ornament introductions are: CHELSEA, HARMONY, HOPE, MELODY, NOELLE, RACHEL and TAMARA. The EVANGELINE MUSICAL is introduced as well as another HEAVEN SENT MUSICAL. Announced this year is the first ornament retirements: CYMBELINE, EVANGELINE, FELICIA, LAURICE, LYDIA, OPHELIA, PRISCILLA and SERAPHINA. By the end of the year, all four of the sculpted plates will be closed also. Roman announced the following retirements on June 1, 1998: FELICIA, FRANCESCA, FRANCESCA MUSICAL and PRISCILLA.
Roman has announced the following Angels will be "Mid-1998" releases, meaning they are considered to be introduced in 1998, however will not be available at your retailers until January, 1999. MICHAEL is the second male Angel introduced in the collection. AUDRA is the fifth introduction in the Motherhood series, while NAOMI, an African-American Angel, is the sixth introduction in the Motherhood series. ARIANNA is the third introduction in the Four Seasons collection. CHARISSE is introduced and will be part of the HEAVENLY REFLECTIONS SET. CASSANDRA - (8 " tall)- is the Fifth Year Anniversary Limited Edition to commemorate the Fifth Anniversary of the Seraphim Classics line. CASSANDRA is also part of the HEAVENLY REFLECTIONS SET and will close in December, 1999. ANNALISA is the Special 2 Year Millennium Limited Edition. ANGELS TO WATCH OVER ME introduces the 8 and 9 year old Girl and also the 7 year old Boy. Another series is introduced - HEAVENLY GUARDIANS with both a Boy and a Girl. The MARIAH MUSICAL is also introduced along with Cradle medals and frames.
The HEAVENLY REFLECTIONS SET is the most anticipated release of this year. The SET is available for current Seraphim Classics Collector's Club members only, however any collector may purchase the pieces separately. The SET has these benefits: 1. All pieces in the set will have a matching edition number and the Fifth Year Anniversary understamp. 2. The Fifth Year Anniversary figure, CASSANDRA, will be signed by the Master Sculptor, Gaylord Ho. 3. The Limited Edition Club Member Sets will begin delivery in May 1999, giving Club Members the opportunity to receive the complete set months before the general public. If you wish to purchase any pieces individually as opposed to the set, they will be available to retailers at different dates. CASSANDRA and CHARISSE will be at retailers in January, 1999 - LAUREL and the POND BASE in May, 1999 - OLIVIA and CAROLINE in September, 1999. The symbol of production is a ROSE with a #5 intertwined in the stem. This symbolizes the 5th Anniversary of the Seraphim Classics Line. NINA is the 1999 Limited Edition. KATHERINE and SISTERS are added to the Angels Of Inspiration Series. PATRICE is the Catalog Exclusive Angel for 1999. A Christmas Angel was introduced, JOY, with a matching ornament. Roman added to the Nativity Collection with a set of 2 animals - a DONKEY and a COW. CLARISSA is the 1999 Earn Your Wings Exclusive Angel. EVE is the Symbol Of Membership Angel and JOSEPHINE is the members only Angel. REBECCA is the Special Event Angel which benefits the Sunshine Foundation. JOELLE, is going to be the first ever, Canadian Exclusive Seraphim Classics Angel. The SERENA GLITTERDOME was introduced. Roman adds 5 ornaments to the collection: DIANA, GRACE, HANNAH, HEATHER and SAMANTHA. Roman introduced 4 new 4" Figurines - CELINE, GABRIEL, ROSALIE and SERENA. Roman retired the 10 "original" 4" Figurines: CYMBELINE, EVANGELINE, FELICIA, IRIS, ISABEL, LAURICE, LYDIA, OPHELIA, PRISCILLA and SERAPHINA. Also, Roman expanded the items bearing the images of the Seraphim Classics by introducing Inspriational Cards, Soaps, Sachets, Candles and much more. In June, Roman retired FAITH, IRIS, NOELLE, NOELLE ORNAMENT, RACHEL and SIMONE.
The fourth Angel in the Four Seasons Collection, APRIL, was introduced. DANIELLE and ELIZABETH were also introduced. ERIN, an "Irish" Angel was introduced. EDEN, a functioning fountain, was introduced. SERENITY, a NALED Exclusive was introduced in November. ANGEL'S TOUCH, The Dedication Angel Musical was introduced. ANGELS TO WATCH OVER ME, Girls, introduces the Year 10 and 16 Figures. THE WEDDING COLLECTION, featuring HARMONY, was introduced. This collection contains a Bell Figure, an Open Bible Figure, a Disk Ornament, a Bible Photoframe, a Musical Photoframe and the Harmony Musical.
Roman, Inc started off the year with a retirement announcement. The following Angels were honored with retirement: ISABEL, MARIAH, EVANGELINE, ROSALIE and SERENA. The symbol of production for this year is the BUTTERFLY. The year 2000, brought with it the announcement of the Master Sculptor Tour. Gaylord Ho, the Master Sculptor, will be making 10 personal appearances this year at Special Events in the selected stores. The Special Event Angel is AMANDA. JACQUELYN is the 12" Year 2000 Master Sculptor Tour Commemorative Figure, available only to Club Members. There are a total of 12 butterflies to be found on JACQUELYN! JILLIAN is the 15" Limited Edition. JULIETTE and KRISTINA are the Year 2000 Golden Wings Exclusive Angels. They, along with CLARISSA, make up a Vignette. CELEBRATION and CARING TOUCH ANGEL are two new ones that have a theme in place of a name. LEAH is the NALED Exclusive. VICTORIA was introduced, with a portion of her proceeds to go towards the fight against cancer. Additions to the NATIVITY COLLECTION were a STABLE, PALM TREES, FENCE, LEDGE, CAMEL and another Angel, BETHANY. The HOLY FAMILY MUSICAL GLITTERDOME and the HANNAH MUSICAL are released. There were five new 4" figures released in FAITH, HARMONY, MARIAH, MELODY and RACHEL. CELESTE is the third in the Annual Christmas Angel Series. New ornaments to the line are coming out in CELESTE, AUDRA and NAOMI. CASSIDY is the Symbol of Membership Angel, while SIERRA is the Member's only Angel. There will be a LAUREL ornament for renewing Club Members. As in 1999, there are new gift items added to the line. Roman also made the controversial decision to release a larger size of the most sought after and treasured Limited Edition Angel - Alyssa. She is being released in a 27" size. On June 1, Roman, Inc made their annual June Retirement Announcent. The Heavenly Reflections Set has been officially retired. This announcement refers to the "open stock" pieces of the set, not the Signed, Limited Edition Member Sets. Cassandra, being the 5th year Limited Anniversary Angel was already a Limited Piece as her edition closed December, 1999. This retirement announcement announced the retirement of the rest of the set - Laurel, Olivia, Charisse, Caroline and the Pond Base. The Signed, Limited Members Set was available by redeeming your voucher through April, 2000 for Club Members.
Roman introduced a new Set, GARDEN OF ANGELS. This Set is comprised of 4 Angels - AMY, DOMINIQUE, ANDREA and SARAH. It also comes with a Garden Gate, Flower Bed, Birdbath, Rose Bush and Wheelbarrow. It will be available as a CLUB MEMBER EXCLUSIVE SET or available in individual pieces from dealers. The CLUB SET will be signed, with matching numbers on the pieces, and will also have 2 exclusive pieces - Garden Plaque and Birdhouse - that are not available from the "open stock" pieces. The CLUB SET will be available in September, 2000 through April 2002. The individual pieces will be available sometime in September as well.
Roman announced the retirement of the following Angels: ANGEL'S TOUCH, ARIANNA, AUDRA, CELINE, CHELSEA, DEDICATION ANGEL PRESENTATION SET, DIANA, GABRIEL, GRACE, HANNAH, HARMONY, HEATHER, JOY, KATHERINE, MELODY, MICHAEL, NAOMI, SAMANTHA, SISTERS and TAMARA.
One other section I wanted to mention were the FARO ornaments and plates. They are produced by Roman, but designed by Faro studios, Faro's interpretation of the Seraphim Classics. Each piece is featured as a plate and also an ornament, and are limited editions for that year. Here is a list of those items: '94 ROSALYN, '95 HELENA, '96 FLORA, '97 EMILY, '98 ELISE and '99 GWYNDOLYN. The 1999 Editions were the closing editions to this line.
ALEXANDRA was the 1998 Special Event Piece. Along with ALEXANDRA, was a "FEATHER," at participating retailers. It was a nice little momento to commerate this special occasion. REBECCA was the 1999 Special Event Piece. With REBECCA, at participating retailers, you could have received a ROSE.
