I wanted to put up a page showing collectors who had not yet seen Alexandra's Feather, exactly what it looked like. Below you will see the feather and under the picture, you can read the story that was printed with it.



THE  STORY

Alexandra watches over all God's creatures from her lofty cloud. One day she observed a group of young doves as they tested their wings. Their awkward first attempts at flight quickly became graceful, and they swooped and played near a wishing well.

As the fledglings practiced their new-found skills, they wished for a bright future and dreamt of their lives as full-grown doves. Then Alexandra noticed a young bird perched on the side of the well, watching the others but too timid to attempt flight himself. "Don't be afraid," urged Alexandra, "come to me." The young dove, filled with courage at the angel's words, spread his wings and flew unerringly to her gentle, outstretched hand.

As he alighted, a shimmering feather from Alexandra's wing wafted through the air, picking up a rainbow of soft color from the setting sun. "Make a wish," she tells the doves, "for a falling feather is a reminder that God is listening to the most helpless among us, and He can make our dreams come true."
